The Ask

Sling TV 2024

The challenge was to develop two to three standalone, full-funnel campaign concepts for the launch of Sling TV's new Rewards program. The primary objective was to educate users on how they could start earning cash for watching the TV they love, driving awareness and engagement across different audience segments.

The campaigns needed to effectively communicate the benefits of Rewards, showing the ease and excitement of accumulating cash just by enjoying their favorite shows. Each concept required a cohesive strategy that spanned the customer journey, from building initial awareness to driving conversions, while also creating a sense of excitement and value for current and potential Sling users.

The Process

For this project, our design was strategically understated, allowing the human element—the winners' expressions of joy and surprise—to take center stage. This created an emotional connection, while the bold text underscored the ease and simplicity of the Rewards program, reinforcing the message that anyone could win big with Sling TV.

To effectively communicate this, we used custom AI-generated user personas that represented a diverse range of Sling TV's target demographic. These personas were brought to life through bold, confident typography and vibrant visuals.

We incorporated existing Rewards visual assets (the tickets and coins) into the campaign, ensuring continuity with the established brand identity while adding a fresh, dynamic perspective.

The Result

The Sling TV Rewards campaign was met with resounding success, both in terms of audience engagement and internal client satisfaction. Leadership praised the campaign for not only meeting the strategic objectives but also taking the Sling brand forward, positioning it as more relatable and rewarding for everyday viewers. The campaign significantly increased user interaction with the Rewards program, with a noticeable uplift in sign-ups and engagement, while Sling executives commended the creative execution for its seamless integration of existing assets with fresh, forward-thinking design.
