Redwood Home approached me with a clear objective: to help them define and develop a distinctive brand identity that would resonate with their target audience. As a company focused on creating sustainable, beautifully crafted home goods, they wanted an identity that communicated their core values of quality, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility. The challenge was to design a cohesive visual and verbal brand language that could elevate Redwood Home in a competitive marketplace while reflecting their dedication to sustainability and timeless design. The goal was to create a brand that felt modern, approachable, and aspirational, ensuring that every touchpoint—from logo to packaging—embodied the company’s ethos and connected emotionally with their customers.

The Process

To craft Redwood Home’s brand identity, we began by exploring their core values of sustainability, craftsmanship, and timeless design. Through collaborative discovery sessions, we clarified the brand’s story and how it should connect with its audience. This informed the design direction, leading to a logo concept that featured a clean, modern look with subtle natural elements, such as a tree motif to symbolize growth and sustainability. The logo was paired with a classic typeface, balancing modern appeal with lasting quality.

In the color exploration phase, we focused on creating a palette that would evoke the warmth of Redwood’s materials while staying versatile across platforms. The final selection included earth tones, such as deep forest greens and warm neutrals, that communicated a connection to nature, along with soft accents to maintain versatility and freshness. These colors, combined with carefully chosen typography and patterns, formed the foundation of the brand’s visual identity.
